We had a celebrity guest come by 1st Period today: Lindsey Pluimer, the former Orange County female athlete of the year and UCLA basketball star. Lindsey and her husband Anthony are great friends and they are heading to Kenya in January. Lindsey's With My Own Two Hands foundation is partnering with orphanages in Africa and plans a couple of trips every year. She stopped by to share about the ongoing HIV/AIDS pandemic and opportunities to join in the battle against this vicious disease.
